In Ireland, sports are a major cultural aspect. Irish people love to be spectators at sporting events and cheer on their
favorite teams. One of the most popular spectator sports in Ireland is hurling. Hurling is known for being “the fastest game on earth.” It is played by two teams that have sticks, also known as “hurleys,”chasing a small ball across a large field. Rugby and soccer are two other popular spectator sports in Ireland. These sports have large fan bases and they are supported by many of the people in Ireland.
The different sports that they have are very interesting. They have many sports that are not well known in the United States. Examples are hurling, camogie, and Gaelic football. In Ireland, these sports are very popular, but in the United
States, many people have never heard of them. I think it would be fun to try out some of these different sports.
