"Typical Colombian Food"
Colombian food is very diverse and it varies based on the different regions of Colombia. The Colombian diet includes a lot of meat. Many fresh fruits are also eaten in Colombia. Lunch is the main meal that is served. It usually consists of a soup, a main dish, a drink and sometimes a dessert, which is usually very sweet. They consider dinner as more of a snack and it is served late in the evening. Two very common dishes served in Colombia are Ajiaco and Bandeja Paisa. Ajiaco is a type of chicken soup, and Bandeja Paisa is a large mixture of food on a platter.
It is very interesting learning about Colombian dishes. My best friend is Colombian so it is cool to learn more about her culture. I think some of the dishes sound delicious and I would like to try them some day.
Colombian food relates to the culture because there are many different dishes that are unique to Colombian culture. They have foods in Colombia that many people in the United States have never heard of. Food plays a big role in Colombian culture.
